Prior to its anticipated global debut later this month, images of the new Kia Picanto facelift have leaked online. The third-generation Picanto (which debuted in 2017) received its first facelift in 2020, and this new one is the second facelift to Kia’s entry-level hatchback.
As reported earlier, the EV9 electric SUV served as inspiration for this refreshed redesign, which is a substantial one. This is obvious from the vertical headlamps that are connected by a chrome bar, and the lower apron is much more expressive with its many body-colored components and sizable false intakes.

In addition, the rear now has a full-width LED light bar connecting the new taillights, and the alloy wheels’ style is similar to that of the EV9. Pricanto’s top-spec GT-Line trim is seen with this aggressive appearance, however, the regular variants will likely look less extravagant while retaining similar design cues.
Although the interior got some changes, the overall appearance remains roughly the same. Notable additions included a digital instrument cluster and new graphics for the infotainment system, which had previously been upgraded to an 8-inch device. Additional information, such as powertrains and safety systems, was not part of the leak. However, the Picanto should retain the same options as before, albeit with some modest upgrades.
