MG has introduced a new variant to the HS family in Pakistan. Slotted below the HS Essence, the new MG HS Excite is priced at PKR 71.99 lac, significantly lower than the HS Essence which costs PKR 80.99 lac.
The new HS Excite line-off ceremony was held in February, and Javed Afridi being a key figure behind MG cars in Pakistan also announced that he will award one to Babar Azam for his maiden century in the ongoing HBL PSL 9.
Under the hood, the MG HS Excite is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine, delivering 160hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a responsive 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with drive sent to the front wheels. The HS Excite offers three distinct driving modes — Normal, Eco, and Sport — allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience to their preferences and road conditions.

Exterior highlights include projector halogen headlamps with manual leveling, headlamp Follow Me Home function, LED DRLs, LED taillamps with non-sequential turn illuminations, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Features include powered & heated side mirrors, power windows with anti-trap, welcome lights, a monotone interior, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, rear-view camera & rear parking sensors, multi-functional steering, 6-way manually adjustable driver seat, 4-way manually adjustable front passenger seat, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and rear AC vents.
The HS Excite comes rich in safety equipment, the highlight being the MG Pilot driver assistance suite which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Headlamp Control, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross-traffic Alert. Other safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Brake Auto Hold, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
