Mitsubishi Mirage 2024 Sales in the U.S. Double, Along with Sales Data for All Models

The Mitsubishi Mirage has been a part of the U.S. market for over a decade. In August 2023, the automaker announced that 2024 would be the final year this model would be available there. Despite receiving considerable criticism, the Mirage remains the most affordable brand-new car in the U.S., with a starting price of $16,695 for the Mirage 5-door and $17,795 for the Mirage G4 four-door, second only to the Nissan Versa.

As the last chance to own a Mitsubishi Mirage approaches, Americans have flocked to purchase the car, driving its cumulative annual sales up by 125.2%, or twice the volume of the previous year. Analysts attribute this surge in sales to the model’s accessible price point.

Moreover, the Mirage has become Mitsubishi’s second best-selling model in the U.S., trailing only the Outlander. This success has helped Mitsubishi achieve total annual sales in the U.S. exceeding 100,000 units, marking the highest figure since 2019. The sales figures for each model are as follows:

  2. MIRAGE – 29,766 units sold (up 125.2% from the previous year)
  3. OUTLANDER SPORT – 15,125 units sold (up 0.7% from the previous year)
  4. OUTLANDER PLUG-IN HYBRID – 6,975 units sold (up 4.4% from the previous year)
  5. ECLIPSE CROSS – 12,724 units sold (up 28.2% from the previous year)

In total, Mitsubishi sold 109,843 units in 2024, marking a 25.8% increase compared to the previous year.
