Pak Suzuki has announced yet another NPD (Non-Production Days) schedule as per a notification sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Its motorcycle plant, however, will remain operational.
Citing ‘shortage of inventory’ as the reason, Pak Suzuki will keep its plant shut from October 25 to October 27. Earlier, Honda as well as Toyota announced an NPD schedule for one week, and one month respectively. Suzuki’s NPD schedule is fairly limited in comparison.
As the import restrictions are eased and the high Dollar value is also coming down in favor of the Rupee, car sales may improve in the near future provided that prices are brought down and the production hiccups are resolved.
