Pak Suzuki has finally unveiled the much awaited 8th generation Alto 660cc at the 2019 Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) which opened its doors today. The new Alto will replace Mehran as the entry level hatchback in Pak Suzuki lineup, and will also be the first 660cc car to be assembled in Pakistan.

Pak Suzuki calls it the ‘Biggest Unveil of 2019’. As per the initial information the Alto will be available in 3 trims and 2 transmission options. The base VX variant will come without air-condition and manual transmission only. The VXR version will come equipped with air-condition and will come in manual tranny only.
The VXL will reportedly come in manual as well as the AGS (Auto Gear Shift) technology, the same offered with the Cultus VXL AGS. It will also have 2 airbags, ABS, engine immobilizer and some cosmetic enhancements. As far as the interior is concerned, all the display units were locked and had black tinted windows so one cannot tell exactly what sort of equipment is on offer. However the exterior fit and finish looked fine for an entry-level Suzuki, much better than that of Mehran for sure.
Pak Suzuki will offer 3-years or 60,000km warranty for the Alto 660cc. The booking for corporate customers is open which can be made against PKR 500,000 per unit. Furthermore Suzuki also mentions ‘Benefit of introductory prices till 14th June 2019’ which indicates that the prices will be revised soon after the vehicle is officially launched.
