Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC) has increased the price of Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan in wake of the increase in the General Sales Tax (GST) from 18% to 25%. This now becomes the 4th time since the beginning of this year, that LMC has hiked the prices of Peugeot 2008 in the country.
Although the tax has been imposed on 1400cc & above cars while Peugeot 2008 has a 1200cc turbo engine. However, the added tax also encompasses CUVs and SUVs regardless of the engine capacities.
According to the company, the price of the Peugeot 2008 Active variant after being raised by Rs 390,000 now retails at Rs 6,840,000 from the old price of Rs 6,450,000. Whereas the Peugeot 2008 Allure variant now costs Rs 7,580,000 from the previous rate of Rs. 7,150,000 witnessing a hike of Rs 430,000.
