Renault has launched the updated Kwid in India with design and configuration upgrades. Prices for the 2018 Renault Kwid remain unchanged and start from INR 2.66 lac for the base 800cc variant, and goes up to INR 4.59 lac for the top-spec 1000cc variant.

The Renault Kwid is considered the benchmark when it comes to the entry level hatchback in India. With over 2.5 lac units sold already, the feature rich car with a crossover like styling has really taken the car buyers by storm.
The Kwid in India is available in two versions (Regular & Climber) with two engine options, eight trims, and two transmission options. The engines however, remain unchanged as the Kwid continues to be powered by an 800 cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 53 bhp and 72 Nm of torque and a more powerful 1,000cc engine that develops 67 bhp of peak power and 91 Nm of peak torque.
The 2018 Renault Kwid features a new razor edge chrome grille, reverse camera, remote central locking, and rear arm rest for high-end trims. Whereas driver side airbag and rear ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelts come as standard across all variants. The new Kwid AMT, called as the Easy-R features ‘Traffic Assist’ which lets the car to crawl forward in stop-go traffic while also prevents it from rolling back on slopes.

All of these additional features come at no extra cost as Renault has launched the new 2018 Kwid without a price hike. Furthermore the Renault Kwid comes with a 4-year/100,000km warranty as well.

Renault partnered with Al-Futtaim of UAE is in process of setting up its assembly plant in M3 Industrial City Faisalabad. According to Yasser Alvi, CEO of the Al-Futtaim Renault Pakistan:
“Renault is renowned for the safety and quality of its cars, and we want to develop exactly the same technology and know-how in Pakistan. We will bring leading European technology to the Pakistani consumer through a modern distribution and dealership network.”
Although the company is yet to disclose the names of the products it plans to introduce in Pakistan, the Kwid remains a likely option considering its success in this part of the world.
