Changan is working on to introduce the CS85 Coupe SUV in China. The sporty SUV is expected to make its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show in September 2018, and will be launched in Chinese market thereafter.
The Coupe SUVs, or Sport Activity Coupes, or Sport Utility Coupes, whichever you like to call them, are rapidly becoming popular and people around the world seem to love them enough to keep buying them in good numbers. Now the Coupe SUV revolution has reached China as well.

The CS85 is based on the same platform as that of Changan CS75, which is a conventional 5-door SUV. The CS85 will be available with two engines: a 178 hp 1.5 liter turbo and a 233 hp 2.0 liter turbo. The latter will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of dimensions, the Changan CS85 measures 4720/1845/1665mm and has a wheelbase of 2705mm. In addition, the CS85 will be available with either 225/60 R18 or 225/55 R19 tire sizes and a panoramic sunroof depending on the configuration.

The CS85 will be positioned between the Changan CS75 and CS95 SUVs. Reportedly the company is also working on to launch another flagship Coupe SUV, which will be positioned above the CS95.
