For European and Japanese markets, the Toyota C-HR is available with the two powertrain options: a regular 8NR-FTS 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 2ZR-FXE 1.8L petrol-electric hybrid. The 1.2-litre engine can be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, while the hybrid option is only available with a CVT. The car is manufactured and exported from Turkey.

Toyota is yet to confirm the production of the C-HR in Thailand, but is expected to make an announcement towards the end of this month during its annual press conference. Thailand will likely serve as an export base of the C-HR for RHD markets. With the booming popularity of crossover SUV’s in Pakistan, one may expect Toyota Indus to bring the C-HR to Pakistan, and since the vehicle will be manufactured in Thailand, a CBU import makes a lot of sense. Let’s keep our fingers crossed…
