The latest generation Toyota Land Cruiser J300 (also called LC300) has just made its public debut in India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023. The flagship Toyota SUV was brought to India a few weeks ago with order books open for a while.
The LC300 is now available for a starting price of INR 2.10 crore (ex-showroom, India) and deliveries are set to begin towards the end of this month. An official announcement is likely to be made soon.
The new Land Cruiser J300 which made its global debut in 2021 commands a super-high waiting period extending up to 4 years in some markets, owing to the high demand amidst a global semiconductor chip shortage. However, the waiting period is said to be gradually reducing as the supply-chain constraints improve.

LC300 comes with a 3.3L V6 diesel engine that churns out 305 hp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is based on the automaker’s TNGA platform, which makes it lighter than its predecessor and more agile with respect to on-road dynamics. Toyota says the new platform has helped shave off 200 kg from the curb weight, which translates into 10% lower CO2 emissions.
