The newly launched Volkswagen Virtus sedan has earned a unique award in India as it has made its way into the ‘India Book of Records’ for being the only sedan to be delivered to 150 customers by a single dealership in one day.

The record has been awarded to the Volkswagen dealer partner in Kerala, EVM Motors & Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd.
Since its introduction on 9th of June 2022, mega delivery programs of VW Virtus have been organized across India. In Kerala alone, more than 200 cars have been delivered to customers by EVM Motors & Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. and Phoenix Cars Pvt. Ltd. The all-new Volkswagen Virtus sedan is available across 152 showrooms in India at an introductory price of INR 11.21 lac (ex-showroom) which translates into PKR 30.07 lac. The sedan is available in two engines & three transmission options. There is a 1.0L 3-cylinder TSI unit good for 114hp and 178Nm paired to either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-spec versions get 1.5L TSI engine that churns out 148hp of power and 250Nm of torque & comes paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Fuel efficiency is rated at 19.4 km/l for 1.0L manual, 18.12 km/l for 1.0L automatic and 18.67 km/l for the 1.5L DSG variants.
