2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift Launched in India

The 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift has been launched in India, priced from INR 9.4 lac to INR 15.03lac. Updates include exterior design changes along with the inclusion of some new features.

The subcompact crossover SUV was first produced by Beijing-Hyundai, a joint venture between the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai and China’s Beijing Group in 2014. Later the Creta reached India and other markets with different names such as Hyundai ix25 and Hyundai Cantus.

Changes to the exterior include the new signature ‘cascading’ grille, dual tone front & rear bumpers, revised headlamps, bumper mounted LED DRLs, new split tail lamps, and new exterior colors. The 2018 Hyundai Creta in India is offered with a 3 years unlimited kilometers warranty.

2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift Launched in India 2

The Hyundai Creta facelift gets the same engine and transmission options as the pre-facelift model. The 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine with 121 hp and 151 Nm 1.6 remains the only engine option paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Diesel variants are available with either a 1.4 liter unit with 89hp and 259 Nm mated to a 6-speed manual or 1.6 liter engine with 126 hp and 260 Nm paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai claims that the new Creta is more fuel efficient by 3% (petrol) and up to 4% (diesel).

The Hyundai Creta competes against the likes of Suzuki Vitara and Honda HR-V.

Hyundai in Pakistan has recently revealed their launch plans, however Creta is not included in the list. Instead Hyundai will launch the bigger Tucson SUV in Pakistan in 2019 and Kona crossover by year 2020.
