Four years after making its debut, the 2nd generation Honda Brio hatchback has received a facelift. The refreshed Honda Brio will take on the likes of the all-new Toyota Wigo, Suzuki Celerio, and the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback in the Indonesian market.
The Brio facelift features a larger front grille, new LED light graphics, and a redesigned bumper that merges the lower intakes and is flanked by a pair of LED foglights that look identical to the all-new BR-V. Additionally, the RS model now has a keyless entry system and updated color schemes for its 15-inch wheels. The Brio’s lower trim levels also get new 14-inch wheels and the Electric Lime Green color.
Honda made a few little inside tweaks to the Brio. A 7-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection is included with the RS version. Other interior changes include new seat designs, a push-to-start button, and a revamped instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the updated Honda Brio continues to be powered by the same 1.2L inline-four cylinder i-VTEC engine that delivers 89 hp of power and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options have also been carried over, so the Brio is still available with a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.
It’s worth mentioning that the Brio will not get the Honda Sensing suite, which means that the WR-V will continue to be Honda’s most affordable vehicle in the ASEAN market, thanks to the presence of the aforementioned ADAS.

Brio is very popular in Indonesia and other regional markets such as the Philippines due to its small size, lower price tag, and ideal fuel consumption. Despite its virtues, Honda has never contemplated introducing the Brio hatchback in Pakistan, preferring to stick with the City sedan as its least-priced vehicle in the country.
