The 7th generation Honda City facelift has finally made its debut in India. The update comes 3 years after this generation model was introduced across the border. Bear in mind over there they call it 5th gen since they disregard the first two generations that were produced as hatchbacks during the 1980s.
As seen in leaked images & videos shared earlier, the 2023 Honda City facelift gets a slightly revised front end with a new honeycomb mesh grille accompanied by a slimmer chrome bar on top. The bumper has been redesigned as well which now incorporates a black trim linking the fog lamp sections to the lower intake.

With the stricter RDE compliance norms, the Honda City facelift ditches the 1.5L diesel engine altogether and is now available with just petrol and strong hybrid powertrains. These include a 1.5L petrol generating 121 hp, with transmission choices of 6-speed manual and CVT automatic. The City e:HEV continues to have the Atkinson Cycle 1.5L petrol-hybrid powertrain that churns out 126 hp and comes mated to an e-CVT transmission.
The 2023 Honda City facelift in India is available from INR 11.49 lac for the base variant and the price tag goes as high as INR 20.39 lac for the top-spec version.
