The 4th generation Nissan Sylphy which made its debut in China back in 2019 has just received a facelift. The refreshed version will then reach the North American markets where it’s marketed as Nissan Sentra.
The Most notable change is up front where the signature V-Motion grille now gets a revised treatment as seen on the current Altima/Teana facelift. This grille design is exclusive for the hybrid Sylphy e-Power; while the standard ICE version gets that with horizontal bars. Apart from refreshed headlights, tail lights & bumpers the rest of the bodywork remains largely unchanged. However new alloy wheels designs are offered which come in 16 and 17-inch iterations depending on the variant.
The Sylphy for the Chinese market comes with two powertrain options. The ICE models are powered by a 1.6L petrol engine that produces 134 hp of power and 159 Nm of torque and drives the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. The claimed fuel consumption is 5.57 liters per 100 kilometers (17.95 km/l).

On the other hand, the e-Power hybrid gets a 1.2L engine that serves as a generator for the electric drivetrain, producing 135 hp and 300 Nm of torque via a permanent magnet synchronous motor driving the front wheels. The fuel consumption is rated at just 3.96 liters per 100 km (25.25 km/l).
Inside, the upgraded entertainment system has a 12.3-inch high-definition multitouch screen with 1920720 resolution and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, as well as ambient lighting in the front doors, the sides of the center console, and the surroundings of the central air-conditioning vent. Convenience features include wireless phone charging at up to 15W, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, an electronic parking brake, and automatic door locking and unlocking as the key holder approaches or leave the vehicle.

Forward collision warning, accelerator pedal misoperation mitigation (with braking), autonomous emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert are also included.
Eight variants of the 2023 Nissan Sylphy facelift are available in China, including three 1.6L gasoline models and five e-Power hybrid models. Prices for the gasoline variants range from 119,000 to 133,900 yuan (PKR 48.85 lac to PKR 54.97 lac), while those for the e-Power hybrids range from 138,900 to 174,900 yuan (PKR 57.02 lac to PKR 71.80 lac).
