2024 Honda BR-V N7X Edition Launched in Indonesia

Honda unveiled the new BR-V N7X Edition at the ongoing 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The N7X stands for “New 7-Seater eXcitement,” and it boasts an array of aesthetic enhancements that are inspired by the concept that debuted the second-generation three-row 7-seater almost three years ago.

The N7X Edition is offered in three variants, starting with the E CVT which is priced at 319.4 million rupiah (PKR 56.99 lac), followed by the Prestige CVT at 343.4 million rupiah (PKR 61.27 lac), and the range-topping Prestige with Honda Sensing at 363.4 million rupiah (PKR 64.85 lac).

Aside from the visual modifications, the rest of the N7X Edition is nearly identical to the standard BR-V range. Under the hood, it retains the 1.5L i-VTEC four-cylinder DOHC engine producing 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm, with power delivered to the front wheels via CVT gearbox.

LED headlamps are standard for the BR-V, but only the top-spec variant gets an automatic on/off function. The Prestige with Honda Sensing is also the only one with driver assistance systems such as LaneWatch, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, and front departure alert.

The E CVT variant comes with remote engine start, keyless entry and start, a 4.2-inch multi-info display, a 7-inch touchscreen head unit, fabric upholstery, four airbags, a reverse camera, and automatic air-conditioning. From the Prestige onwards, additions to the kit list are leather upholstery, two more airbags (for a total of 6) as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

The previous generation of Honda BR-V has been discontinued in most markets, either due to its age factor or poor sales. Bear in mind the first-gen BR-V made its debut in 2016 but despite poor sales, it’s still on sale in Pakistan. How long will Honda drag the obsolete BR-V in Pakistan remains unknown, but if they are to continue with the 7-seater, they should consider introducing the second-generation model here without delay.
