Changan unveiled the all-new Oshan Z6 in China in March earlier this year, now the D-segment crossover has been formally launched in the Chinese market. The Oshan Z6 is available in both PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and ICE (internal combustion engine) versions.

As seen in earlier images, the Oshan Z6 features a sporty look with huge intricate mesh grille flanked with sharp and slim pair of headlights, there are plenty of sharp & angular lines while overall the design language of vehicle look reminiscent to the Changan Uni series. There are subtle differences between PHEV and ICE variants such as blue trims on PHEV and red accents on the ICE as well as different exhaust pipes.

In terms of dimensions, the Oshan Z6 measures 4,699 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall while having a wheelbase of 2,795 mm. To give you the idea of its size, its very much comparable to the 3rd gen Kia Sorento we have here (4,760 mm long, 1,890 wide, 1,685 tall), however the wheelbase of Oshan Z6 is even longer than that of Sorento (2,780 mm).

Inside, the Changan Oshan Z6 comes in black as well as beige color coded interior (depending on version) with three screens even in the base variant. One for the digital instrument panel which is 10.25 inches long having 3D display technology. Then there is a 12.3 inches central touch screen with OnStyle 5.0 system featuring voice recognition allowing drivers to link their voices to different functions. The third screen is 9.1 inch unit on the center panel mainly for navigation. The Oshan Z6 also features the EaglePilot7.0 driving system aided by 12 radars, 3 mm-wave radars, and 5 cameras. With these features, the Oshan Z6 can park itself and help the driver on roads.
As for engines, the Oshan Z6 ICE has a 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine self-developed by Changan with a peak power of 188hp and 300Nm of torque. The drive is sent to the front wheels via a 7-DCT transmission. A 2.0L engine good for 233hp will reportedly join the lineup in later stages.
The base model of the Changan Oshan Z6 ICE is priced at 99,900 yuan (PKR 30.92 lac). For this price, it will be equipped with a rear-view camera, LED lights, 4 speakers, cruise control, and only 2 screens (without a 9.1-inch one). As for the top trim level, it has adaptive cruise control, an emergency stop system, a 360-degree camera system, 6 speakers, 64-color ambient lighting, etc against a price of 129,900 yuan (PKR 40.22 lac).

On the other hand, the PHEV version is called Z6 iDD. It goes standard with a 1.5L turbocharged engine also self-developed by Changan with an output of 166hp and 255Nm. It comes paired with an electric motor on the front axle with a peak power of 110kW (150hp) and 330Nm. The transmission is 6-speed triple-clutch. The Z6 iDD has a 28.4-kWh LFP battery from CATL. In all-electric mode, it can run up to 150 km (NEDC) or 110 km (WLTC).
The entry-level Z6 iDD costs 155,800 yuan (PKR 48.23 lac). It gets a 360-degree camera system, cruise control, 4 speakers, and 2 screens. The top-trim level features L2 autonomous driving system, adaptive cruise control, three screens, and 9 speakers etc. with a price tag reaching 175,800 yuan (PKR 54.43 lac).
