Chinese brands on the global automotive scene became famous for their design piracy, poor crash test results, some odd looking cars and of course, weird names. Although over the course of time Chinese have started to produce high quality cars, which are pretty to look at & are safer too, but they are yet to come up with better car names.

Chinese cars are often mocked for abnormally long car names, but this one sure tops the list as its name almost looks like a sentence. Why? Because it has 8 words… yes, eight! Let us introduce you to the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Max Dark Knight Edge Edition.
Interestingly this isn’t the first time a sports variant has been introduced to the Aeolus Yixuan Max sedan. Not less than five sportier variants were already available namely Cool Knight, Dazzling Knight, Cool Shining Knight and Dazzling Shining Knight, as well as the Dark Knight (not the Edge Edition). These are added as suffix after Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Max name.
Like previous sporty iterations, the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Max Dark Knight Edge Edition is also based on the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Max, but its an outrageously souped-up version with wild body-kit featuring front spoiler and lip, winglets on the sides & around the wheels, side skirts, widened front and rear fenders that extend over the rear door, low-profile rims and most importantly front scissor doors. The car gets a matte black paint accentuated with gold decals which enhances its aggressive appearance.
The interior is similar to the standard Aeolus Yixuan Max, but the Dark Knight Edge Edition gets additional red & gold detailing, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and red-grey seats. There is a 10.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as a 12.3 inch digital instrument panel. The vehicle boasts Level-2 autonomous driving assistance system, supporting functions such as automatic parking, forward collision warning, automatic brake assistance, adaptive cruising, lane keeping assistance, traffic signal recognition, and intelligent speed limit reminder.
Under the hood the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Max Dark Knight Edge Edition gets the same 1.5L turbo as in the standard Aeolus Yixuan Max. The output figures are impressive at 190 hp and 300 Nm, with power sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Dongfeng claims a top speed of 210 km/h.
