Citroen has formally launched the C3 Aircross midsize SUV in India with prices ranging between INR 9.99 lac and INR 12.34 lac (ex-showroom).
Positioned between the C3 and the C5 Aircross, the new C3 Aircross features Citroen’s signature grille design with a split headlamp setup and V-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear of the car looks quite similar to the smaller C3. The SUV rides on 4-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels and is equipped with the brand’s “Advanced Comfort” suspension.
Inside, the C3 Aircross comes with three rows of seats and can seat up to 7 passengers. The last row can be folded or removed completely allowing to have 511 liters of cargo volume. The dashboard layout is similar to the C3 and features a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It comes with a digital instrument cluster, air-conditioning with a roof-mounted blower, engine start/stop button, and TPMS, while safety features include ABS, EBD, ESC, and Hill Hold Assist.
Under the hood, the Citroen C3 Aircross gets a Puretch 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine good for 108 hp and 190 Nm mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Thanks to its lower pricing, the C3 Aircross undercuts its entire segment rivals including the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
“We are delighted to launch the highly anticipated new C3 Aircross SUV, designed, developed, and made in India for the discerning consumers. It has received a positive response across the country since the start of bookings in September. We are ramping up our production to cater to the festive season demand. Our expanded and ever-growing network of showrooms and workshops is ready to deliver the new C3 Aircross SUV, with its class-leading features, distinctive eye-catching styling, and matchless versatility.”
