The first batch of Geely’s Zeekr X vehicles destined for the European market left the factory in Chengdu. The electric vehicles (EVs) have already been transported to the port.
Last month, Zeekr shipped out the first batch of the brand’s electric vehicle, 001. The EVs rolled off from the factory in Zhejiang to Sweden and the Netherlands, the car maker’s first markets on the Old Continent. The Zeekr 001 liftback is offered for 59,490-67,490 euros ($63,500 – $72,000) with deliveries set to begin this quarter.
In September, Zeekr started pre-sales in Germany during the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich. The manufacturer offered Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X for 59,990 euros ($64,000) and 44,990 euros ($48,500) respectively. The first direct sales stores will open in Stockholm and Amsterdam towards the end of the year.
Zeekr intends to expand into Norway, Denmark, and France in order to cover the majority of major European markets by 2026. Geely also intends to enter Middle Eastern markets in the fourth quarter of this year.
