The Zeekr 001 FR is capable of performing a tank turn, thanks to having four separate SiC permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. An effective four-wheel torque management system is also present which distributes torque among the wheels by tracking each one’s speed in real time. Track-level brakes are equipped on the Zeekr 001 FR, with 10-piston brake calipers from AP Racing up front and 4-piston brake calipers at the back. Brembo carbon ceramic brake discs are also installed. Courtesy lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, the vehicle can withstand a maximum lateral force of 1.4G.

The Zeekr 001 FR has one more feature: a special driving mode from the Formula-1 legend Kimi Raikkonen who recently signed a contract with Zeekr. This mode will increase the power output of the Zeekr 001 FR from 1,248 hp to 1,282 hp. This mode will be available through the OTA update soon. Kimi will also help Zeekr to finetune other versions of the Zeekr cars in the future.

The all-wheel-drive system is supplemented by the Zeekr Vectoring Control system to ensure power gets to where it is needed most, and peak torque at the wheels can reach 10,000 Nm when making a tank turn. Zeekr 001 FR is Geely’s most powerful car to date. The company also claims 001 FR is the world’s fastest mass-produced car, which will be fine-tuned to become even better with inputs from Kimi Raikkonen.
