The government has announced to reduce the petroleum product prices for the month of January 2019. Last week, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended a reduction in the prices of petroleum products by up to 13.5% for the month of January 2019.
According to notification issued on Monday, petrol price has been slashed by Rs 4.86 per liter, whereas the price of High Speed Diesel has also been reduced by Rs 4.26 per liter. The prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil has also been reduced by Rs 52 paisas and Rs 2.16 respectively.
The new prices effective from the 1st of January 2019 are as under:
