Hyundai Nishat is all set to introduce its first pure electric vehicle in Pakistan. The automaker has been tantalizing us with a campaign on social media for the past few days, but the most recent teaser nearly gave away which electric vehicle it will be launching in the coming days.
The latest teaser shows a car’s silhouette with its rear lights on, and it’s none other than the multiple award-winning Hyundai IONIQ 6 EV. Having made its world debut in 2022, the Ioniq 6 boasts “streamliner” aesthetics which helps achieve a drag coefficient of 0.21Cd, which is a key aspect in determining the energy consumption of EVs.
Hyundai also claims that with a 614km driving range on the WLTP test cycle, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is one of the most efficient EVs ever. With a 77.4 kWh battery, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is paired with either a single-motor rear-wheel-drive or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. The highest output comes from the dual-motor AWD that produces 320 hp and 605 Nm of torque, which enables the EV to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
Across the border, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 was showcased at the Auto Expo in India while its anticipated price is INR 50.0 lac. It is believed that the Ioniq 6 will probably cost around the same as the MG4, or maybe even more. However, we will have to wait for the company to officially disclose the price, which shouldn’t take too long.
