Dubbed as Verna E, the new base variant gets only a 1.5 liter petrol engine under its hood that produces 113hp of power and 144Nm of torque with power sent to the front wheels via 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI certified fuel economy figures are 17.7km per liter.
The Verna E is almost INR 35,000 (PKR 77,000) cheaper than the S variant, which was previously the entry-level variant in Hyundai Verna’s range. In terms of features the E variant is almost similar to the Verna S but misses out on the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front and rear speakers, sunglass holder, front USB charger, and the shark fin antenna.
