Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has given yet another push to the prices of Kia cars in Pakistan. This is the third time since the beginning of 2022 that Kia prices have witnessed an increase, first in January and then in March. The new prices will be applicable from 18th April 2022.
The company has cited the depreciating PKR value against US Dollar as well as rising freight charges on the import of parts as the reason behind the move. As per the notification, the new prices will be applicable in the following stages:
- Customers who have paid the full amount till April 18, 2022, will pay the previous price.
- All PBOs where delivery commitment is April 2022 or before will also pay the previous price. Customers need to deposit the balance payment by April 28, 2022.
- All PBOs where delivery commitment is May 2022 or beyond will pay the new prices.
- Prices are exclusive of freight charges.
As for the increase, the price of Picanto hatchback has been increased by Rs 200,000, Sportage CUV by Rs 300,000, and Stonic by Rs 275,000. Whereas the price of Sorento as before, remains unchanged. After Kia, other automakers are also expected to announce price revisions soon.
