MG has unveiled plenty of new cars at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show. These launches also coincide with the 100th anniversary of the MG brand.
The first of these models is the Cyberster two-door electric roadster that pays homage to the British marque’s sports car heritage. MG Cyberster recently made its ASEAN debut at the Thailand Motor Show where it appeared in the same red color and wine-red interior and was presented in the left-hand drive guise.
MG9 and Cybertser EV
M9 luxury MPV was also premiered at the Singapore Show. It is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that churns out 242 hp and 350 Nm and gets a 90 kWh battery pack that enables a generous 435 kilometers of driving range, and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of under 10 seconds. The MG M9 challenges the likes of the Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival.
To also capture a larger market share in the hotly-contested mass market EV space, MG has also introduced Category A COE versions of the MG4 EV and ZS EV. These retain the same mechanical gubbins as the previously available variants but with a detuned electric motor to meet the Category A COE cut-off.
