Hyundai, the second largest automaker in India has updated the i20 hatchback with prices starting at INR 7.74 lac (PKR 16.9 lac). The new i20 gets safety & equipment updates and comes available in two powertrains and three trims options.

In order to meet the new stringent safety regulations, the new i20 gets reverse parking sensors, reverse camera, speed alert system, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder and more, as part of standard equipment. In addition the i20 Active also comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, impact sensing door unlocks and speed sensing auto door lock.
Exterior highlights of the new Hyundai i20 Active include projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, LED tail lights, shark fin antenna, faux skid plates, auto-folding side view mirrors, rugged plastic body cladding and diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside, the updated i20 Active gets funky finishing on the air vent bezels, gear knob and contrast finished seats. It comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push button start, wireless charger, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and sliding front arm-rest.

Engine in the new Hyundai i20 Active include a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 82bhp and 115Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 89bhp and 220Nm of torque mated to 6-speed manual transmission.
