Toyota in August 2020, introduced a mid-life refresh (facelift) to the XP150 Toyota Yaris Ativ sedan in Thailand, exactly 3 years after it made its debut back in August 2017. The facelift carries visual enhancements and an array of improvements over the pre-facelift models.

In terms of dimensions the 2020 Yaris Ativ facelift remains exactly same as the pre-facelift model measuring 4,425mm in length, 1,730 mm in width and 1,475 mm in height while having the same 2,550 mm wheelbase.
Under the hood, the facelift gets 1.2-liter petrol four-cylinder engine (3NR-FXE) with an electrically operated dual variable-valve timing producing 92hp of power and 109Nm of torque. With the new addition of automatic stop/start, the Yaris Ativ is now able to achieve 23.3km/l, no more than 100g/km of CO2 and Euro 5 emission standard. Originally, the Yaris Ativ’s 3NR-FE engine made 86hp and 108Nm that met the Eco Car-1 regulations of 20 km/l, 120g/km and Euro 4. Transmission remains same– that is CVT automatic with Sport mode.

Bear in mind the Toyota Yaris Ativ in Thailand has to comply with stringent Eco Car-2 regulations, which require:
- CO2 emissions not more than 100g/km
- Euro-V Emission Standard
- Fuel consumption not less than 23.25 km per liter
- ABS, EBD, BA as standard across entire range
- VSA & balance control systems as standard across entire range
