The Toyota-Suzuki collaboration has already spawned various cross badged products in key markets. Toyota Glanza, Suzuki ACross, Suzuki Swace, and Toyota Urban Cruiser to name a few. Now the latest addition to this list is the Suzuki Ertiga-based MPV called Toyota Rumion that has just been launched in South Africa.
The 7-seat Rumion MPV is simply a badge-engineered product while aesthetically exactly similar to its Suzuki donor. It is available in one engine, two transmission options and 3 trim levels in the South African market. All variants are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5L four-cylinder engine that delivers 103hp of power and 138Nm of torque paired to either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox.
