Tata Motors has extended its electric vehicle lineup by introducing its third EV in the Indian market. The electric hatchback is available at a starting price of INR 8.49 lac and is offered in four variants. Bookings will initiate from 10th October, while its deliveries will start in January 2023.

The Tiago EV differentiates itself from its ICE counterparts with a blanked-off grille with the signature tri-arrow pattern on both ends as well as distinctive EV badge, projector headlamps, electric blue highlights and tweaked alloy wheel design.
The interior gets electric blue hues on the air vents and digital instrument cluster. As for convenience, the electric hatchback offers a height-adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a multi-function steering wheel.
The EV comes equipped with multi-drive modes, re-gen modes, cruise control, 45 ZConnect features with smartwatch compatibility, leatherette seat upholstery, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, electric auto fold side mirrors, powered boot opening, and more. Safety kit comprises of dual front airbags, cornering brake control, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD and a rear-view camera.

Tiago EV utilizes Tata’s Ziptron technology which is a self-developed high voltage architecture which according to the company is designed for unique Indian driving and weather conditions. The EV comes available with two battery packs: 19.2kWh with a claimed range of 250km and and 24kWh with a 315km drive range, as per Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC).
The electric hatchback supports 3.3kW and 7.2kW home charging, along with DC fast charging which can charge up to 80% in around 57 minutes. The Tata Tiago EV variants in India are priced as:

- XT with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – INR 9.99 lac
- XZ+ with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – INR 10.79 lac
- XZ+ Tech Lux with 24kWh battery pack and 3.3kW charger – INR 11.29 lac
- XZ+ with 24kWh battery pack and 7.2kW charger – INR 11.29 lac
