Wuling, the sub-brand under SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture in China best known for making affordable cars for the masses has just launched its newest electric vehicle called Bingo.
Unlike most modern cars with sharp & aggressive styling, the Wuling Bingo feature rather sedate looks with a smooth overall profile and rounder headlamps and tail lights. The 4-door hatchback measures 3,950/1,708/1,580 mm with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. To put into perspective, the Bingo is larger in every dimension compared to the new Swift we have here which measures 3,855/1,695/1,495 mm and has a 2,450mm wheelbase.
Inside the roundish elements can be found on the dashboard, door panels, and around AC vents. The basic trim level gets a small instrument panel screen, 2 speakers, and fabric seats. However, the top-trim gets a dual-screen setup that comprises a digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch main screen. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a voice recognition system and 4 speakers.
Thanks to a relatively long wheelbase, the Wuling Bingo boasts a spacious interior and an impressive truck capacity of 310 liters which can be expanded to a staggering 790 liters with the second-row seats folded. The interior can be had in black or beige/brown color trims.

Under the hood, the entry-level Wuling Bingo comes equipped with a 30-kW (41 hp) electric motor and 17.3-kWh LFP battery which is good for 203 km of CLTC range. Then there is a more powerful electric motor for 50 kW (68 hp) with a bigger 31.9 kWh battery (that also supports DC fast charging) for a range of 333 km. According to Wuling, the Bingo can be fast charged from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes, while with the AC charging, it will take 9.5 hours from dead to fully charge the battery.
The Wuling Bingo is available in 5 trim levels. The first two of them (with a smaller battery & motor) cost between 59,800 yuan and 65,800 yuan respectively ($8,700 and $9,600). The prices of higher battery/ motor variants fall between 73,800 yuan to 83,800 yuan ($10,700 to $12,170).
This makes the cheapest Bingo equivalent to PKR 24.65 lac while the most expensive one equals PKR 34.49 lac. In comparison, the 660cc Suzuki Alto VXR in Pakistan is priced at PKR 24.87 lac while the top-spec VXL AGS is priced at PKR 27.95 lac. On the other hand, the Wagon R here is priced between PKR 30.62 lac and PKR 35.63 lac for the VXR and VXL AGS variants respectively.
