Toyota and Suzuki Celebrate Record Sales

Despite steeply rising car prices, automakers continue to enjoy record-breaking sales in Pakistan. Indus Motor Company (IMC) the assemblers of Toyota cars in Pakistan has announced to have witnessed highest-ever sales in March 2022.

The company managed to sell 7,132 units breaking its previous record of 7,001 that was set recently in October 2021. This is the highest-ever single month sales for IMC since its inception in 1993. More importantly, this is the third time during this fiscal year that IMC has shattered its own sales record.

Although IMC has stopped disclosing individual sales figures of its local assembled lineup, still looking at the recent sales trend its not too hard to say that the bulk of Toyota sales are driven by Corolla. On the other hand Yaris has been suffering from a decline in sales in presence of options such as 6th gen Honda City and Changan Alsvin in the segment.

This is the third time within the last 7 months that the company has breached the 15 thousand units per month sales milestone. Sales numbers of Pak Suzuki were spearheaded by Alto 660cc which is currently the highest selling car of Pakistan.
