The collaboration between Suzuki and Toyota has already spawned a number of cross-badged vehicles which are introduced in India and various other markets including Europe and Africa. And the latest to that list is going to the Toyota Taisor, which will be a rebadged Suzuki Fronx which was introduced in India and other markets last year.

Although Toyota has yet to confirm the name, the vast majority of Indian motoring portals believe that the vehicle will be called Toyota Taisor. Like most rebadged models, the vehicle will feature subtle styling differences from the donor Suzuki Fronx model.
With the exception of styling tweaks, most things including the interior & equipment are expected to remain the same. Under the hood, the Taisor will retain the 1.0L turbo petrol engine good for 100hp and 150Nm mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission. The second engine will be a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 87hp of power and 113Nm of torque with transmission options including a manual and an AMT gearbox.

In terms of features, the upcoming Toyota Taisor could come with a 9.0-inch infotainment system, ARKAMY sound system, wireless charging, heads-up display, 6 airbags, 6 speakers, a rearview camera, etc. Regarding price, the Taisor could start from around INR 9 lac and go as high as INR 16 lac according to the sources. Bear in mind Suzuki Fronx in India is priced between INR 7.47 lac and INR 13.14 lac. Once launched, the Taisor will rival the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Nissan Magnite, as well as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx in the highly competitive Indian market.
