Eid season in Pakistan is a time of joyous celebrations, filled with vibrant festivities and deep religious sentiments. Central to these celebrations is the tradition of animal sacrifices, where Muslims commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. As part of this sacred ritual, animals are carefully chosen and transported to homes or designated sacrificial areas.
Loader vehicles have become an indispensable part of Eid celebrations in Pakistan due to their efficiency and time-saving benefits. With an increasing demand for animal sacrifices during Eid, loader vehicles ensure a smooth and organized process of transportation. They provide a reliable means for people to purchase animals from various sources and have them safely transported to their homes or designated sacrificial areas.
Anyone who owns a commercial vehicle gets the best chance to cash in his vehicle during this season. Some slight modifications may require, for example, removing the canopy or adding some protective grille to the vehicle. Ramps and appropriate handling techniques are also utilized to load animals onto the vehicle, considering their size and behavior. Stability is also crucial to minimize stress and prevent injuries during transportation.
It’s amazing to watch how frequently two cows or bulls are transported on our roads by smaller commercial vehicles with a load-bearing capability of under 1000 kg. What’s more amazing is that they went for ages like this without having a problem. Vehicles commonly seen performing these tasks are usually Suzuki Ravi, as well as Mazda Titan, Hyundai Shehzore, old Toyota Hilux, old Kia Ceres, & other Chinese pickups.
Although loader vehicles have revolutionized the process of animal transportation during Eid, challenges remain. Traffic congestion and poor road conditions pose obstacles to efficient and timely transportation. In addition, ensuring the health and welfare of the animals during transportation requires constant attention.

The use of loader vehicles for animal transportation during Eid has both positive and negative impacts. On one hand, it allows for the preservation of cultural traditions and facilitates larger-scale sacrifices, enabling individuals and communities to engage in religious practices. On the other hand, ethical considerations and animal welfare concerns arise. It is crucial to ensure that animals are treated humanely during transportation, emphasizing the need for responsible practices and adherence to guidelines and regulations. Acknowledging these impacts is vital to strike a balance between cultural traditions and animal welfare.
Animals are brought into the city via large trucks & heavy commercial vehicles
Here we must not forget that such a large number of animals are brought into the city in heavy commercial vehicles & large trucks before they are sold to the customers. Therefore, the importance of big trucks like Bedford, Isuzu, Hino, and others should not be understated.
The tradition of transporting animals on loader vehicles during the Eid season in Pakistan showcases the resilience of an age-old practice evolving with the times. It brings together communities, strengthens cultural bonds, and enables religious obligations to be fulfilled. However, to preserve this tradition while upholding animal welfare, responsible transportation practices must be embraced. By prioritizing the safety, comfort, and well-being of the animals, we can ensure that Eid celebrations remain meaningful and compassionate, uplifting the spirit of both individuals and society as a whole.
I don’t eat, sleep or dream of cars, I am just someone who loves to see, think & write about cars. I love Ferrari in Pink but they won’t make one for me. I use X to write my full name, but that doesn’t mean I’m inspired by Altis X, in fact, my dad hates it 😀 Btw I’m an occasional writer so don’t expect too much from me 🙂
