Xiaomi MS11 EV Will Have 101-kWh Battery

Xiaomi, the Chinese manufacturer of smartphones which also makes electric scooters and home appliances, continues to make progress towards producing its all-electric passenger vehicle– the MS11, spy images of which appeared over the internet earlier this year.

It should have a driving range that is above average, based on the most recent leaked image. As per the source, Xiaomi’s MS11 EV appears to be equipped with a 101-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack that’s rated at 726.7 volts and 139 amp-hours.

Putting technicalities aside, the battery label for the Chinese company’s first electric vehicle suggests that it may be able to fast charge at 800V, which should result in lower charging times than 400V packs from rival companies.

The driving range is still unknown, but we can make a rough estimate based on what we know about the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan, which has a 108.4-kWh battery pack and an estimated range of 446 km to 563 km, depending on power level and whether it’s rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. According to the Chinese motoring media, the Xiaomi MS11 EV will have a starting price of around $43,000 (300,000 yuan) when it goes on sale in 2024.

Speculative renderings of Xiaomi MS11 EV

Although no other image of the MS11 is available at the moment, artists & enthusiasts have already started to come up with speculated renderings of Xiaomi’s maiden entry into the passenger vehicle segment, demonstrating the amount of interest in this car among people.
