Changan has officially unveiled the all new Eado Plus sedan in China. Positioned as a compact car, the Eado which has now entered its third generation adapts a completely new design language and offers 2 distinctive styling appearances (Standard/ Sports) for buyers to choose from.

The Standard trim gets horizontal slatted chrome grille pattern while the Sports versions get black honeycomb mesh grille. In both cases, the large grille area is accompanied by closely connected slim headlamps with LED DRLs that helps enhance the wider appearance of the vehicle.
The side profile is rather smooth while adapting double waist line whereas the fastback styling emphasizes a strong sense of sportiness. Towards the back there are new slimmer set of tail lamps that echoes the front headlamps & are connected with a thick deviated chrome bar. There is a nicely profiled rear bumper which boasts dual exhausts with chrome embellishments.
In terms of dimensions the Eado Plus measures 4,730 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width and 1,505 mm while having a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. For the sake of comparison the longer, wider and taller than the 11th generation Toyota Corolla we have here (4,639/ 1,775/ 1,460) however the 2,700 mm wheelbase remains exactly the same.
The interior design is entirely new as well. The dual-screen center console is tilted towards the driver and carries two large 10.25-inch screens– one for the instrument panel that supports 3 different display modes, whereas the other features general vehicle control including AC & audio operations as well as intelligent vehicle connected systems. Features such as panoramic sunroof, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, push button engine start/stop function, electronic handbrake, 360 ° reversing imagery, multimedia audio and video system, and automatic air conditioning, electronic driver seat adjustment etc are all equipped as standard on the new Eado Plus.
Powering the Eado Plus are 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine producing 127hp as well as a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine producing 157 hp. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). The new 2020 Changan Eado Plus will go on sale in China in March 2020.
