Changan is inching closer to launch the Oshan X7 Plus in Pakistan. The vehicle can now be seen running on the local roads wearing a beautiful livery captioned “Hello Future” hinting for an imminent launch in our market.
According to Changan, Pakistan will be the first country to launch this new SUV outside China which will also be supplied to other RHD markets from our country. More importantly, the launch plans of both Alsvin & Oshan X7 were shared exclusively on CarSpiritPK way back in September 2019.
The Changan Oshan X7 in the ‘Hello Future’ livery
The new Oshan X7 Plus is a beefed up version of the Oshan X7 and can be compared to Toyota Fortuner and 3rd generation Kia Sorento as far as the dimensions are concerned. According to our information, the X7 Plus (‘Oshan’ word likely to be omitted from the name) will be available in both 5-seat and 7-seat versions catering to diversified consumer needs, however Changan is yet to reveal official specs & other details of the vehicle.

Under the hood there will be Changan’s latest 1.5L turbocharged engine from the newest Blue Whale engine series which churns out 188 hp of power and a whooping 300 Nm of torque while enabling the X7 Plus to achieve a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 8.23 seconds with a claimed fuel economy figure of 14 km per liter which is comparable to any conventional sedan.
There is no word on the pricing of the Changan X7 Plus at this stage, however it is speculated to fall well below the aforementioned options. With a smaller yet powerful turbocharged engine that will benefit customers in taxation & registration, coupled with striking looks and rich configuration, the Oshan X7 Plus will likely crate a stir in the niche market, however a lot depends on the final pricing of the vehicle.
