Changan launched the Oshan X7 in Pakistan last month and the vehicle immediately grabbed the attention of customers with company garnering over 1,000 bookings of the CUV which comes in both 5-seat and 7-seat variants priced at PKR 59.5 lac and PKR 57.5 lac respectively. The company has already started delivering the Oshan X7 units to its customers.

However today, the company has notified its dealerships regarding an expected delay in deliveries of the vehicle. According to notification, a delay of 30-45 days is expected (from the date of PBO) due to a new wave of Omicron variant of COVID-19 in China which has created a lockdown situation in most areas thus affecting the timely shipment of certain parts.
On its social handles, Changan Pakistan has claimed to have welcomed more than 31,000 walk-in customers who experienced the Oshan X7 at its dealerships nationwide & have shown intent into purchasing the vehicle in near future. Changan is also offering 1 year Protection Plan for current owners of Alsvin, Karvaan or M9 Sherpa as well as Roshan Digital Account (RDA) holders. The Oshan X7 is backed by 5-years/ 150,000km warranty and is available with bank financing solutions offered by leading banks.

Changan calls Oshan X7 a disruption in CUV segment, we will have to see whether its really going to create a stir in the market, however from the looks of it the Oshan X7 appears to be a very capable product & should do well against the competition, provided the company timely resolves the supply chain issues and ensure smooth after sales service & spare parts availability for better customer experience.
