The Sino-German joint venture, FAW-Volkswagen (FAW-VW) saw it’s sales volume exceeding 2 million vehicles in 2017, up by 5% year on year, the company revealed on Friday.
According to FAW-VW, it sold more than 1.405 million units of Volkswagen and 595,288 units of Audi registering an annual growth of 6.8% and 1.1% respectively.
Based in Changchun, China’s north eastern Jilin province, the company rolled it’s 15 millionth car off the production line in 2017 as well.
The FAW-VW joint venture which was formed in 1991, expects to reach an annual ouput of more than 3 million vehicles by year 2020.
