MG’s latest electric vehicle the Mulan which is also labelled as MG4 EV is heading for Europe. A first batch of 1,0000 MG4 was reportedly dispatched from Shanghai’s Haitong Wharf on the 21st of July.

MG unveiled the all-new Mulan EV in the mid of June 2022 in China. It will be MG’s first global EV model which will begin its sales from Europe where it will be marketed as MG4. The vehicle underwent a 120,000 km endurance test in various conditions in Europe. Camouflaged test mules were seen testing in most parts of Europe. It’s the first MG model to be based on the Nebula MSP (Modular Scalable Platform) for battery-powered vehicles, which has been developed by the parent company SAIC Motor.
Initially, the MG4 EV will be offered with two battery options; a 51 kWh with 350 km battery range and a 64 kWh battery with a 450 km driving range. A flagship AWD model is expected to be launched in later stages that will come fitted with a high-power permanent magnet synchronous motor, capable of punching out 330 kW of power and a massive 600 Nm of torque. This version will be able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and have an electronically-capped top speed of 159 km/h.

Since being a global mode, the MG4 will come in both left and right-hand drive configurations. With its European debut scheduled at the fourth quarter of 2022, the MG4 EV will also hit dealerships across New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, South America, and the Middle East towards Q1, 2023 and will be introduced in various other markets thereafter.
