MG has just launched the updated 2022 Gloster SUV in India priced from INR 31.99 lac. Apart from some tweaks, the new Gloster remains largely similar in design however it does get equipment upgrades. Available in both 6 and 7-seater versions, the refreshed Gloster SUV comes in three different trims – Super, Sharp and Savvy.

On the exterior, the SUV comes with a new design of dual-spoke alloy wheel as well as a new exterior paint option namely Deep Golden. This adds to the already available shades including Agate Red, Metal Ash, Warm White, and Metal Black. Inside, the 2022 MG Gloster in India gets a major change in the form of the new advanced i-Smart touchscreen infotainment system, along with a wide range of revisions. The updated i-Smart infotainment system now offers more than 75 connected car features.
MG claims that the MapmyIndia-sourced navigation system will now give information about real-time weather and AQI. It also gets an integrated ‘Discover App’ that makes it easy to search for hotels and restaurants. Additionally, it comes with the new Park Plus head unit app that lets users book and pay in advance for parking slots. MG has also added 35+ Hinglish voice commands. The new MG Gloster also features first-in-segment features such as Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA). These advances on the existing 30 standard safety features make the new Gloster a safer and smoother drive.

The updated Gloster continues to have two diesel engine options under the hood with both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain layouts. The 2.0L is available in two guises, these include a 163 hp version and a more powerful 218 hp version (with a twin turbo setup). An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range. Speaking on the launch, Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said:

MG in Pakistan has once again reaffirmed its commitments to launch 3 CKD models in Pakistan. According to various MG officials, these three upcoming models will include the Gloster SUV. However no timeframe has been shared regarding the launch of these vehicles in the country.
