This will see new generation models of MG3 hatchback, ZS subcompact crossover, and HS compact crossover to be unveiled likely towards the end of next year and will go on sale starting from the first half of 2025.
According to the report, the new generation versions of all MG models – except the recently-launched MG4 electric hatchback – are due before the end of 2024, as part of plans to sell 50,000 cars per year in the UK, Australia & New Zealand, the top right-hand drive markets for MG. The report further suggests that the new models won’t be fully electric for now, however the inclusion of hybrid powertrain even in the small MG3 is very much possible.
As per the report, MG would want to keep the MG3 as the most affordable option, however a fully electrified version may push its price up. The current generation model which was launched 11 years ago, is the least priced option in UK and Australia, the latter is where the MG3 is ranked as the highest-selling small car.
