Suzuki has finally launched the 4th gen Jimny in Indonesia at the ongoing 2019 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The Jimny was first showcased at last year’s GIIAS 2018 event and gathered good attention of public.
Commenting on the launch, Seiji ltayama, President Director of Suzuki Indonesia said:
“Since its introduction in 1979, the Jimny has sold more than 130 thousand units and has become part of people’s lives through toughness and performance in various off-road terrain.”
The Indonesian-spec Jimny is powered by a K15B 1.5L naturally-aspirated four-cylinder unit with 101 hp and 130 Nm of torque. Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro part-time four-wheel drive system features selectable high and low range (2H, 4H, 4L) is also on offer.

Suzuki launched the 4th generation Jimny mini 4×4 in July 2018 after the third generation lasted for 20 years. Since then the Jimny has seen remarkable success in almost every market where it has launched, and has already grabbed plenty of international automotive awards.
