Pak Suzuki launched the new Swift in February 2022 after a stretchy 11-years period of the previous generation model. Available in three variants, all of which are powered by a fuel efficient K-series 1.2L engine (82hp/ 113Nm), the new Swift is priced at PKR 24.99 lac for the base GL manual variant, PKR 26.99 lac for GL CVT and PKR 28.99 lac for the top-spec GLX CVT variant.
The equipment & safety features of the top-spec model has made the Swift quite a handsome product, as the GLX CVT variant has become the most equipped Suzuki ever to be assembled in Pakistan. Like most Suzuki models, the Swift has received an overwhelming response with delivery period spanning to over 4 months already.
Interestingly however, the company is not offering test drives for the latest model. According to information, Pak Suzuki has instructed the dealerships not to allow test drive to customers. The company is taking 100% advance payment on booking with over 2,500 units reported to have been booked already.

There are also reports circulating in the media about Pak Suzuki planning to increase the prices of new Swift variants. According to sources, the prices might be increased by up to Rs 300,000. With PKR touching a record low at Rs 179.22 against the US Dollar, car in Pakistan are expected to witness another wave of hikes and Suzuki Swift won’t be an exception. However we will have to see what impact will be there on sales of local assembled vehicles once the price increase comes into effect.
