Toyota launched a new limited-edition Yaris in Thailand last month with enhanced features & equipment called the Play Edition which is available in both hatchback and sedan forms and is limited to just 1,500 units. The Yaris & Yaris Ativ Play Edition cost THB 25,000 (PKR 1.2 lac) more than the regular variants.
Based on the facelift, the Yaris Play limited edition differs from the regular model with a gloss black front grille, black side skirts, black bumper extensions & black rear spoiler, designated Play emblems inside & out and a new exterior body color, Ice Pink Metallic. The Play edition also gets new 15-inch dual-tone (black-purple) alloy wheels.

Inside, the interior decoration material on dashboard & door panels comes in Dark Mulberry color whereas the seats are adorned with two-tone leather, white-black, decorated with Dark Mulberry.

The Yaris Play edition also gets PM2.5 air purifier system as well as an acoustic glass windshield that boasts high solar energy absorption. There is a 360-degree camera & Telematics Car Connect system on offer with the limited-edition model.
Interior features include 6.7-inch touchscreen with USB/ AUX/ HDMI connectivity, voice recognition & voice commands function, Audio Radio AM / FM CD MP3 WMA with DVD player, Bluetooth, 6-speakers, 4.2-inch TFT driver information display, automatic air-conditioning, leather-wrapped multi-function & adjustable steering, 6-way driver & 4-way front passenger seat adjustments etc.

Standard safety equipment includes 7 airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, vehicle stability control (VSC), TRC (Traction Control) and HAC (Hill-start Assist Control). Furthermore, the Yaris and Yaris Ativ in Thailand are also equipped with auto engine start/top, automatic headlights with follow-me-home function, immobilizer & anti-theft alarm system, parking sensors and front camera with dashcam recorder.
Under the hood there is a 3NR-FKE 1.2-liter (1,197cc) four-cylinder 16-valve Dual VVT-iE engine that delivers 92 hp of power and 109 Nm of torque and comes paired with Super CVT-i transmission. The Yaris complies with the Eco-car Phase-2 regulations in Thailand and delivers 23.3 km in a liter.

The Yaris Play edition in Thailand is available in 4 colors– Ice Pink Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Gray Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.
